Hi Julia,

I find that no blog post with a list of blogs that are said to be dofollow is correct.

Not only is it hard to find lists of do follow blogs but the lists are very unreliable and usually contain less than 50% of blogs that are still dofollow.

It is therefore no surprise to me that your competitor was showing incorrect information. They probably use those incorrect lists.

I am surprised that your product is that accurate.
I may consider getting it in the future.

FBF is working great for me and I had just upgraded from my free license to the Gold edition!
Was glad that the 50% Christmas offer is still on!
I had just used the discount code to enjoy a 50% off the software price.
I also noticed that the 'Detect PR for DoFollow blogs only' feature is finally working now in version 3.0.1
FBF had just made my life easier! Thanks for such a great software Julia!

Julia,

You're taking the right approach. Unknown is just fine as a category.

I would caution folks on underestimating the value of do-not-follow comments on high PR ranking sites.

I have several websites at number 1 on google, bing and yahoo with nothing but do-not-follow posts on high PR sites. Any insider that does linking building for a living will tell you the same thing.

Yes, given a choice, I would always prefer do-follow. But to throw away the others is insanity.

Sincerely,

Ron

I'm testing the FBF in the moment intensivly and there is one thing that I am missing.
The list with the blogs shows an column with the last update to the blog. I find this information very good. An blog which is very old wont bring as much as an active blog.

But I am missing an column with the info when the found blog-entry was made.
I know that even old posts are good, but I can plan more when I see that that entry is maybe from 2006, then a rather new one from 2009.

Is this feature in the 3.0? If not... maybe you can take this as an feature request for the further development. ;) (I am sure it is too late for the 3.0 ;) )

It would be great if there were a column which showed which platform the page was on, so that you could steer clear of platforms you disliked for whatever reason. :)
